Human qualities such as forgiveness, tolerance, and trust for the freedom of religion and belief
Religious freedom is a human right to think and act upon according to it. It is the right to practice any or no religion and to believe in any belief in line with one’s opinions. Freedom of religion and belief including the ability to worship in peace and security is a universal human right. Everyone in the world has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. This right includes freedom to change or hold religion or belief anytime at anywhere.
Religion is a belief in a God / Gods or a religious founder and the activities connected with this belief. It is a praying or worshiping in a sanctified place or a holy building connected with a great devotion and faith done by people (prayers). There are a variety of religions worldwide which are different to each other. These variety of religions can be interconnected with its own believes, morals, texts, prophecies, ethics and norms. Moreover, these religions may have sacred histories and symbolic stories which may be persevered in scriptures, symbols, and holy places that has been turn out to sacred places today. Beliefs are a choice made by people independently. We have the power to choose our belief. There are beliefs we have about ourselves that are untrue and unsure. So, if we change or dissolve our beliefs especially our false beliefs, we can change our behavior patterns and ultimately our lives. When we discover their false beliefs, we start to rewire them ourselves.
Religion is important because it sharply shapes people’s morals, customs, traditions, beliefs, and ultimately the behavior. The practice of a religion can be its own rituals, sermons, venerations, festivals, funerary services, meditations, praying, worshiping too. It helps to maintains the social control in a society that leads people to a better path. It acts as an agency of socialization. A person’s correct behaviors, beliefs, myths, faith is guided by the framework of the religion. A religion or a belief is firmly binds in people’s mind, where human beings seek purpose in their lives and religions gives many people that purpose.
In order to promote religious freedom and we must learn respect each other. Religions of the world large or small, old or new, are not better or worst to than on a another. Different religions need to learn respect each other and that should be the major duty of a religion to show due respect to other religions. Followers of different religions should learn to exercise moderation and tolerance towards each other and their beliefs and not actuate religious enmity,
hatred. The main point is that to protect the freedom of religion without making any conflicts between each other is the tolerance. Tolerance is the act of enduring and bearing up any hardships, forgetting hatred from our mind that sympathize anyone with kind-hearted. Being tolerant makes a person less hatred and helps to control one’s emotions in difficult situations because it is a part of our personality. Religion tolerance refers to the ability to appreciate spiritual values, beliefs and practices which are different from your own. But this is too difficult as there are great diversities of religions and spiritual beliefs exists in the world today. Tolerance leads to less stress and greater happiness in the overall community.
Another admirable quality is forgiveness which is a greater outstanding human quality in freedom of religion and belief. Our capacity for forgiveness is a part of human nature that has evolved in the process of natural selection. It’s the ending up of every anger, hatred and regret towards someone and acting to pardoning. Forgiveness is the ultimate giving up power of a person. This is basically a theory taught in most of the religions to live as a simple person. So, by understanding others thoughts we should be able to think one’s wrong deed and forgive him or her. That is how religious leaders teaches their followers to live in harmony and peacefully within the society. This doesn’t mean completely forgetting or excusing the harm done to you. It brings a kind of peace that helps you go on with life. Many religious leaders teach this to their followers to put up them on the correct path.
A person’s trust is so much important to build up strong relationships. Trust is a powerful feeling that creates in human mind for someone or something even if it cannot be proved. In the freedom of religion mainly it needs the social trust in order to be united and effective. There should be a firm trust towards one’s own religion and beliefs and then to all other religions too. religion has the potential to help and cure mental health and well-being. It is also a potential determinant of trust and trustworthiness. Among all the qualities of a person toward a religion trust is the most important to see themselves as trustworthy that are most likely to be religious.
Religion and a belief are of central importance to the lives of people in the majority of the world’s cultures. According to the international human rights the law of holding or changing a religion / belief is a direct human right. Freedom to religion helps to creates an ethical framework and also a regular for values in day-to-day life. With the combination of good human qualities, the freedom of religion and belief can be protected as a that it approaches us in a way to a good character. So, it can be concluded that there is a complex and
inextricable connection between human qualities and the freedom of religion and belief as a positive influence.
