Took a step back from the crowded procession,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looked around,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wow the things I’ve never seen before<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not only me , not only ‘us’,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everybody has a god of their own..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well I built a time machine ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Curiosity being a rebel’s trait they say…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The perfect follower to never question;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accept others…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the ages I travel back…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the eras I go<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To see what religion – belief is..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It started simple..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then it grew and numbers blew..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Started traveling ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thousands of them around the world… Isn’t this the same kind?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I felt happy,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Happy to see them polishing humans .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Time passed ; everything changed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Green eyed monster” as Shakespeare would say usurping every brain;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What their God? Our lord,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only ours exist,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only ours to follow we say..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well saying with words only, then ordering with arms ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bullet through heads, war begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Damn I traveled thousand years to reach this day,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More conflict, only blood splattering <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the name of Gods above , <\/p>\n\n\n\n
the merciful,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What mercy on the already sleeping their last sleep? What heaven six feet underground? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The comfort of worms and cold soil?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is this what the gods teach?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allah the merciful,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buddha the calmness,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus the embodiment of sacrifice,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kali the mother of all,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vishnu the protector of all…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do they exist in us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are we really their children who follow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or lost lambs of the same herd killing and fighting forgetting our own home?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
